Jazz Bistro

Some of my fondest Jazz memories were formed at The Top of the Senator. I was crushed when it closed down. So when I heard last year that it was to be revamped and reopened as Jazz Bistro, I was thrilled

There was a delay with the opening (as happens with any business) and there were growing pains, but Jazz Bistro is becoming one of the preeminent Jazz venues in the city. Its affiliation with Jazz Fm and the exceptional talents of their marketing/promotions director, Ori Dagen, who's also an extremely talented and well known crooner, are major draws for some of the better known Jazz artists of yesterday and today. I've been there many times, sat at the bar, on the main floor, and on the mezzanine overlooking the stage. All seats are exceptional!

Jazz Bistro is elegant and the audience is very similar to those who used to go to Montreal Bistro. Its all about respecting the music and the musicians. There are Sunday brunch concerts, lunch and early afternoon Jazz with up and comers and major players in the evening. All accompanied by fine wine and an exceptional menu. Be sure to book your reservation as soon as you pick up tickets, tables go quickly!
