The landmark Hugh's Room is a musicians bar. Its where they go to hang out and the first place they think of to launch a CD. Which makes it perfect for live music lovers as well! One look at their event calendar tells you everything!
Located on Dundas West, just up the street from Roncey, it is easily accessible by ttc, and there is ample free parking in the lot across the street. The floor is a pie shaped, 3 level unobstructed space PERFECT for viewing live music. The acoustics are fabulous, as are all the staff, including the incredible sound guy. Hugh's is a relaxed, fun, casual place. All seating is at tables, so if there is an act you want to see, make your reservations ASAP. However, if you're just looking for something to do TONIGHT, give them a shout. There is a bar with great sight lines and standing room at the back.
If I were a musician, Hugh's is where I'd play!
